Hall of Fame

The Washington High School Performing Arts Hall of Fame celebrates and honors alumni who have excelled in the performing arts and individuals who have strengthened the WHS program.

Performing Arts Hall of Fame recognizes individuals from three categories:

Washington High School Performing Arts Department staff members serve as the Selection Committee for this Hall of Fame. For more information about the awards, please see the selection criteria for membership in the Performing Arts Hall of Fame.

The public is invited to nominate individuals for these awards. The annual deadline for nominations is April 15th. Please use the appropriate nomination form — former student, directors and administrators, or contributors — to nominate an individual.

Note: Unfortunately we do not have sufficient information to create plaques for two honorees, Karen Hunt (inducted in 1995) and Dr. John Moelnick (inducted in 1997). If you have information to share, please contact Patrons of the Performing Arts.

Outside the band room, biographical plaques are on display for members of the Washington High School Performing Arts Hall of Fame. The family of honoree Tom King, Class of 1982, provided the funds for the three display cases. (Photo courtesy of Impact Photo.)
