PPA

Your Support. Their Passion. Our Community.

Make this the year you’re a donor, volunteer, sponsor, or in-kind supporter
of Patrons of the Performing Arts (PPA).

Patrons of the Performing Arts (PPA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization
founded in 1983 that supports all Washington High School performing arts
programs, including band, choir, dance, drama, orchestra, speech, and
technical theater. With approximately 54% of WHS’s 1,100 students
participating in the performing arts, PPA’s mission is to ensure that
high-quality educational and performance opportunities are available to
every student.

For the 2026-2027 school year, PPA aims to raise $160,000 to help fund
nearly half of the performing arts budget. Program priorities are
determined annually by the performing arts directors and include essential
needs such as uniforms, instruments, sheet music, costumes, music
licensing, competition fees, travel assistance, set materials, royalties,
instruction, and upgraded equipment. PPA also provides financial assistance
and fee support for students who qualify for free or reduced-price meals so
that every student has the opportunity to participate.

In addition to supporting annual program needs, PPA invests in special
projects that improve performing arts facilities and replace aging
equipment. Recent accomplishments include the purchase of a Steinway piano,
replacement of Little Theater seating, upgrades to auditorium lighting,
replacement of choral risers, repairs and enhancements to the truck and
trailer, and current fundraising efforts to replace drumline equipment.

PPA’s impact extends beyond funding. Dedicated volunteers plan, organize,
and host performing arts events that give students opportunities to
showcase their talents, build confidence, develop skills, and grow as
artists and leaders. Whether through a financial contribution, corporate
sponsorship, volunteer service, or in-kind donation, your support helps
nurture the creativity, confidence, and talent of WHS students for years to
come.

Every donation is 100% tax deductible and helps ensure that Washington High
School’s performing arts programs continue to thrive. Thank you for
supporting WHS Performing Arts.
