Dear Friends,
The Patrons of the Performing Arts (PPA) is a non-profit, 501(c)3 , volunteer organization at WHS that raises money every year to support ALL of the performing arts groups: band, dance team, drama, speech, orchestra, technical theater and vocal music. Donations to PPA are 100% tax deductible. Each year PPA raises upwards of $100,000 for our performing arts students through memberships, fundraisers and with plenty of volunteer help. Your donation helps raise funds to meet the critical needs of WHS performing arts. Without family and community support, the performing arts program would not be fully funded. Critical needs funded in the past have been: purchasing uniforms, music, instruments, costumes, travel, musical instruction and providing financial assistance for students in need. The financial needs and priorities of the performing arts department are determined by the directors and school administration each year. PPA pays performing arts fees for those who qualify for Free and Reduced Lunch. The goal is to allow all students to participate in the performing arts of their choice.
Becoming a member of PPA will provide support to our students while providing you with a variety of benefits. Please review our membership levels to see which one is best for you. Volunteering your time is of equal importance to financial suppor t . We ask families to commit to volunteering a minimum of four hours this year. There is a volunteer section on the membership form that we would kindly ask you to complete.
On behalf of the PPA, the Washington Performing Arts Department, and the students it serves, thank you for your generous support!
